چکیده

Highlights The presence of preoperative mild cognitive impairment (MCI) in patients undergoing combined carotid endarterectomy and coronary artery bypass grafting is associated with an increased theta activity at the frontal parieto-occipital regions both hemispheres after surgery. Abstract Aim. To study impact on changes electrical brain grafting. Methods. Sixty-three (CAE) (CABG) were included study. divided into three groups, depending functions: without (n = 17), MCI 29), severe 17). High-resolution electroencephalography (EEG) (62 channels, bandpass filtered between 0.1–50.0 Hz, sampling rate 1000 Hz) was performed 3–5 days before 7–10 Results. Patients baseline presented higher region left hemisphere compared to (p 0.048). At same time, showed most pronounced increase surgery levels cortical right (p≤0.05). Postoperative minimal statistically insignificant. Conclusion. grade dysfunction form CAE CABG. A smaller decrease power impairment, one hand, can indicate compensation cerebral ischemia resistance hypoperfusion during on-pump cardiac surgery, other, be a manifestation ceiling effect insufficiency functional reserves.

Safety of Simultaneous Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting and Carotid Endarterectomy Versus Isolated Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE The optimal operative strategy in patients with severe carotid artery disease undergoing coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) is unknown. We sought to investigate the safety and efficacy of synchronous combined carotid endarterectomy and CABG as compared with isolated CABG. METHODS Patients with asymptomatic high-grade carotid artery stenosis ≥80% according to ECST (E...
